Simmering down

I think things have blown over with my neighbour. I left her a note explaining that the dog is now being kept at the rear of the flat, especially at night, and that I'm replacing the bead curtain across my kitchen doorway with a solid door, tomorrow morning. That should create an additional sound barrier. I've had a note back from her, and she says she's happy with the way things are now. She also said she had no intention of going to the housing association. She just said it in anger, as the dog had been keeping her awake. At the end of the day, I've been here ten and a half years, and never made any excess noise. If I'm having work done here, I warn her, so she can be prepared, go out for the day, or whatever. So all-in-all, I'm sure she's happy that I'm mindful of her right to peace and quiet, probably because I like peace and quiet myself.

I'm so glad the trouble has blown over. It's easy to be crabby when you're short of sleep! You seem to have handled it very well.

That's great... its no good losing either your dog or a good neighbour.

Oh that's good. I was going to say the same as dragonstar. Lack of sleep makes us all grumpyguts.
