Camera Critters: Tortoiseshell

I came across this tortoiseshell butterfly sunning itself on a stone near the bus stop at Rhossili, on the Gower Peninsula. Unfortunately, I only had a basic point-and-shoot camera at the time, so was unable to do this beautiful creature justice. You can see my other Camera Critters entry here.

This is a real beauty and not a bad pic at all! It's been a long time since I've spotted such a lovely butterfly apart from in the zoo or abroad!

That's such a beautiful photo Siani, so typical of the Large Tortoiseshell.

I don't see any shortcomings due to the camera - it's a lovely picture.
I can feel the sun.
