It seems I may have somehow damaged my right knee, although I have no idea how. It's been hideously painful for about a week, and I really need to see a doctor soon. I can bend it without a problem, but straightening up is agony. Plus it often feels like it's about to give way under me. Going up and downstairs (unavoidable where I live) is excruciating. The poor dog's cheesed off because he's been no further than the back garden today. I've lain around on my bed all day, but can't afford the luxury of lolling around any longer. Hate aches and pains - they're so annoying. Ugh, bah humbug, etc.

It could be result of all the extra walking of Alfie.
Have you tried a course of Ibubrofen?
No joke with the arthritis playing up.
I think you may be right, Aileni. I usually do most of my walking on fairly flat routes. But I'm up and down hills all the time, which is not good for arthritis - especially downhill. I'm taking ibuprofen and tramadol, and hope to see the doctor soon, to get a stronger anti-inflammatory.
Maybe a knee-support? I hope you see the doctor soon, and get some help.
Certainly sounds like arthritis, which stairs are killers for. And in some people, damp weather makes it worse, so with all this rain....
An anti-flammatoryj ust for a short course, will probably help a lot.
Poor you. I hope it gets better soon.
