Monochrome Monday

Aileni has started a new photo meme, Monochrome Monday, and very kindly invited me to participate. This shot shows St. Mary's Church, Rhossili, on the Gower Peninsula, in Wales. The sepia-like tones are courtesy of Adobe PhotoShop. I guess that makes me a cheat!

Not really a cheat, Siani - not many people have a load of B&W prints like me. Old snapshots are ok but it is inevitable that most will be digital converts. The pictures, that is... prople too when you think about it.
This picture reminds me of just that picture on a Judges postcard.

The sepia seems to highlight the sunny nature of the day. Very nice shot!

This is beautiful and I like the sepia tones. Gives it a sort of sunset glow. Mine is here

That is striking.

Strange color but still intriguing ...

Don't regard yourself as a cheat, rather as a photographer turned artist. Your rather intense sepia has added an eerie and other-worldy atmosphere to this image. Any minute now the swirl of draped cloth and the passage of a spectre!

nice shot - I walked through this churchyard just a few weeks ago and that view you captured has not been ruined by the building of a huge modern house behind the church - how they got planning permission I don't know.

Chris, I'm horrified to hear about a house being built behind the church. I haven't been to Rhossili for months - I can't believe planning permission has been granted, either. Horrid. I always really liked that view of the church, with Rhossili Down behind it. Ugh!
