Ouch!

Does anyone know what causes cramp? Better still, how can it be cured? I've been getting the most horrendous muscle cramps in my right calf over the last couple of days. It all started when I tried to get up off the sofa, whilst pinned down by two snoozing cats. I felt something twist in my leg, and then I had the most excruciating pain I think I've ever felt. Even worse than my stupid arthritis. I shuffled over to the baker's earlier, looking more like a drunken, geriatric yeti than a human being. It's been waking me up at night, too. I think I need to Google cramp, to see if I can find a solution.

I suffered from severe cramp for years - seems I had "Restless Legs Syndrome". I know just how excruciating the pain can be - screaming agony just begins to describe it. I still get it, but nowhere near as bad.
I take the New Era Biochemic Tissue Salts from the health shop - No 8, Magnesium Phosphate. They're not cheap, but I'd be lost without them. When an attack strikes you can take them every few minutes, and they dissolve in the mouth. I take a dose every night before bed, and during if I wake up with cramp.
Ooops! Sounds like an ad, I know, but it really does work!

Thanks for the info, Dragonstar - I really appreciate it. I think I'd sell my soul just to put an end to the agony! I didn't realise cramp could be so horrid. I'm glad you've found something that works for you.
