The latest on Alfie

Well, he's been home nearly six hours now. In that time, I've walked him twice and cleaned up two of the most revolting, squidgy poos ever. He was very unsettled to begin with, pacing non-stop and trying to copulate with rugs, cushions, doggy blankets and cat toys. He seems to have stopped that rather fruity behaviour now, though.

The little beggar managed to wangle his way on to the couch earlier, and had a snooze. It seems the money I paid for his bed and bedding was rather a waste. He's now resting on a furry, lilac rug. Look:

Bless 'im. He's shown no aggression to the cats at all. Leo growled at him, but Liberty's just curious. The local kids have made a big fuss of him, too. Despite not being used to kids, he was very good with them. Unfortunately, he's a bit whiffy right now, so I'll give him a bath tomorrow.

Oh he looks so sweet lying there! What a love! Not surprising that his tum's a bit upset, but he should soon settle. He'll probably take to his bed eventually, so don't give up just yet!!!

Guess what? He's now in his bed. He got up to have a nose around, so I popped his bed on the rug, where he'd been sleeping. He climbed into it a couple of minutes ago and curled up. I think he knows he's home!

I am so glad that he is doing well with the cats. I'll bet his upset tummy will settle down after he is used to his new environment and food.

Home indeed.
It is strange to think of you embarking (Sorry) on this new venture as we have had to say goodbye to it.

Good morning Siani and Alfie! I hope you both (and the cats!) had a good night.
