PhotoHunt: Heavy

This week's theme is Heavy. I was tempted to post a pic of me - but I didn't want to frighten anyone :). Now, this is NOT a pic of me! But this cow looks rather heavy, don't you think? I wouldn't like to have her step on my toes.

This next image shows Arthur's Stone, a Neolithic monument which stands on Cefn Bryn, which is an area of high, bleak moorland, a few miles outside Swansea.

To give you an idea of just how big and heavy Arthur's Stone is, here's an image of my cousin, Wayne, standing in front of it. He's about 5' 10 and quite burly, but he looks quite small beside the stone.

Anyway, those are my heavy pics. I'll be back in a while to visit some other PhotoHunters. Have a great weekend!

You were very brave to get so close to that cow (or bull?). Great shot! And the rock would be mighty heavy, too!

It's that Stone again !
When I was small, I crawled under it - you become aware that is really is HEAVY. It's worse when your own kids do the same thing.

Looks like a bit of an animal theme is developing for this weeks word. I would be more concerned about the back end of the cow, you don't want to get a heavy dollop on you...

Cheers Mark

I love cows, so I love your cow photo, especially the view point you have on it. You were pretty close? whew. Love glacial erratics, too (I have some on my land!): so this post was great for me! My Photo Hunt — Heavy is here. Thank you.

That's a very clean looking cow. Even still, I doubt whether I would have got that close! Great pictures!

That is a beautiful cow, I love the black ones, as well as I love black horses :-)

She does look very well cared for. Healthy. And very cute. No horns, so she looks more kind. The Highland Cattles horns makes them seem more dangerous, but they're so darn cute with their "hairstyle".

I've had a cow once in my Wordless Wednesday photos I think it was, but that was the rear end that had made a mess.... *giggles*

You got some great shots for the heavy theme. I love rocks and Arthur's stone is a beauty. I also like the shot of the cow.

I agree, Siani - I wouldn't want that cow stepping on my toes, either!
