PhotoHunt: Delicious

I must admit, I'm slightly at a loss as to what to post for this week's . 'Delicious' makes me think of food, and I don't generally take pics of food. So, I've had to dig deep into my image files for something that vaguely fits the theme. I'm afraid this is the best I could do.

The first one shows a wild blackberry. These delicious fruits grow in hedgerows, fields, on wasteland and roadsides - in fact, almost anywhere they can take hold, including on walls or in ditches. They can be used to make all sorts of delicious things, such as pies, crumbles, summer pudding, jam or wine. They're especially delicious baked in a pie or crumble with apples.

This next pic shows a pint of Guinness I enjoyed a couple of years ago. This pic wasn't taken in Ireland, but at Rhossili, on the Gower Peninsula, near my home city of Swansea. The last time I had one of these was about eight months ago. I'm not a big drinker at the best of times, but I now have to take several types of medication, none of which is safe to mix with alcohol. So nice, cold pints of Guinness are a thing of the past, at least for now.

Anyway, that's my PhotoHunt for this week. Not very thrilling, I know. Never mind. There's always next week. Have a lovely weekend!

Now that's what I'm talking about. What a delicious shot of a pint in the most beautiful setting and wild blackberries are yummy too!

Next week we have to be "skinny" so we only have today to splurge, lol!

Your pictures are beautiful for the theme! It was hard for me to choose a pic because I don't take pics of food: it is too hard to photograph!

Great choices!!!

Those berries look delicious! And bet they do taste good.
As for the measurements for a cup in cooking, here are some other measurements that equal a cup,... hope it helps.
1/4 litre
250 ml
8 ounces
1/2 pint
Those are all the measurements I have on my measuring cup,.... hope it helps.
Have a happy weekend.

I'll bet the berry tastes even better straight off the plant!

Hmm Blackberries, hmmm Stout... (hmer like drooling) Given my Cork parentage the stout of choice has to be Murphys and/or Beamish washed down with a delicious whiskey from Middleton! Happy weekend

THose are beautiful photos. I tried to take a blackberry in the autumn but my camera does close-ups well. Yours has a beautiful purpley colour. Don't you just love to pick a juicy one and eat straight off the buch? Delicious. I don't drink but the way you've taken the guinness photo is excellent.

Great delicious pics. Such a relief to be able to appreciate them without drooling (I know, but I'm addicted to chocolatey, gooey cakes, and I've looked at so many that I think I've gained POUNDS!)
These are both lovely shots.

Love your pics. The first shows growth and maturity and the second is the perfect advertisement. Have you thought about sending it in to some agencies? It would work like those commercials for that beer (Corona, I think) on the beach. Anyway, nice job. Countryside is beautiful, by the way. Have a nice weekend.

Oh great delicious photos! I couldn't agree more! I love blackberries and though I do not like Guiness when I was in Ireland it did taste amazing! I think you need to be in IRELAND to drink it!

Those berries look delicious! My mom doesn't like the taste of Guinness at all. She's seen the burnt barley that it's made from, and it just doesn't appeal. The Guinness photo is great though!

Thanks for the good thoughts.

Blackberries grow on waste land? I thought they grow on farms. I have never seen a blackberry plant. I doubt they would grow in sunny Singapore.
