Friday's Feast

Appetizer
What was your first “real” job?

I was a barmaid - at one of the dodgiest pubs in town. Talk about a lamb to the slaughter!

Soup
Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity?

My bathroom! There's nothing like a nice, hot, fragrant, bubble-filled bath, with scented candles and incense burning, for opening up a path to creativity.

Salad
Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when ...

... my cousin Wayne farts loudly in public when I'm with him.

Main Course
What values did your parents instill in you?

Honesty, politeness, respect for others.

Dessert
Name 3 fads from your teenage years.

Leg warmers, frilly New Romantic-style shirts, the Lady Diana haircut. Yes, I was a teenager in the 80's!

At one point I wanted to be a barmaid too but I became to scared to. I don't like getting hit on, the last thing I wanted was drunkards hitting on me. Loved your feast!

I've read some FF participants that their teenage fad years include the leg warmers. :)

I hate it when walking in the mall, my husband will fart and sound like a motor boat..... I walk off and leave him. Thanks for your visit. Baba

LOL great salad. I don't think I've been around guys who do that regularly, but I'm mortified when they do! Hah.

You soup sounds nice :) It's so hard to get a peaceful bath with 2 kids and a husband screaming for you lol. :D Great feast!

Hi,

I'm sorry but your salad made me laugh... but I imagine that must be quite embarrassing. I never got into leg warmers, even back in the 80s I thought they looked odd. Have a sweet weekend.

I was a cocktail waitress once, interesting time in my life.
I would love a bubble bath, only have a shower here though.....I need more inspiration or my NaNoWriMo though...and more time.
Great feast!

I think that your list of values sums up what I wish everyone would take more seriously - the world would be such a nicer place if everyone could just tell the truth, be nice just for the sake of being nice, and show a healthy respect for those around them. Love it, well put. Happy Friday!

I had that haircut BEFORE Lady Di did. But then I was accused of copying her, so I got it all cut off and streaked in purple. (Like you said, it was the 90s.) Thanks for stopping by my feast.
