Strange day

It's been a bit of an odd day. I woke up feeling like a total heap of cack. I must have had 10 or 11 hours sleep the night before, as I didn't sleep at all on Wednesday night. I then spent Thursday shopping with my mum, up on the Enterprise Zone, visiting places like Wyevale and Morrisons. I arrived home utterly knackered and was in bed by 8. Although I woke a couple of times in the night, I finally got out of bed around 8 am today.

By 09.30, the decorator arrived. A few months ago, Swansea Housing Association installed a new boiler for me, and the wall and ceiling got so hideously messed up, they're having to redecorate the whole kitchen for me. Anyway, this post is meandering all over the place, so I'll try to get it into some semblance of order.

When I got home yesterday, I discovered my cat tormenting a baby magpie, that could only fly a few inches above the ground. But the magpie hid in my pyracantha bush, so the cat, thwarted by the thorns, gave up. The magpie was still wobbling around early this morning, but I could see it now had an injured wing. Also, other magpies, and some seagulls, kept dive-bombing it. So I had enough, and ushered it into an old cat carrier, with a broom. I called the RSPCA, but before they could collect it, the poor bird keeled over and died. As you can imagine, that really made my day.

The decorator's coming back on Monday. So on Sunday, I have the lovely task of getting everything out of the kitchen, my blinds, ornaments, everything on the worktops, wall prints, light shades, table linen, rugs - you name it, it all has to go. Where it's meant to go, I really don't know, as it's a huge kitchen with lots of stuff, and there's nowhere else to store it. Plus, I have to carry it up and down stairs, thanks to the weird layout of the place. Oh what joy.

Anyway, that's my weekly moan out of the way. Oh, except I'm desperate to grab some more kip, but I'm sitting around waiting for someone to get back to me about something. Never felt so tired in my life.

Hi Sian - sorry for the delay but I have now added links to your new sites. Please take a look at my Swansea Vale Nature Reserve site and, if you like it, add a link - thanks,
Chris

Thanks, Chris. I'll add a link to your Swansea Vale site in the next couple of days. I need to add links to the new sites as well. Plus I need to post something on both of them!
