Wet, wet, wet ...
No, I don't mean that diabolical band much loved by housewives and saddos, some 10-15 years ago. I'm talking about the almost as diabolical weather we've had lately. I am sick of the sound of running water. I live on a hill, and all I hear, 24/7, is the sound of water pouring off rooftops, rushing down garden paths and roads, tinkle tinkle, sploosh bloody splash. I've had enough, I truly have. I'd like to get out an about, do some walking, take a few pics, get my boots caked in Gower sand and mud. I had hoped to get to Oxwich to snap that gorgeous field full of cowslips and bluebells, but I bet this rain has trashed the whole lot of them.
I've just checked a few online weather forecasts - it doesn't look very promising for the rest of the week. In fact, Yahoo weather says we've no hope of any dry weather until Sunday, although the BBC forecast insists tomorrow will be dry. But the BBC weather forecast is one of the least reliable I've ever come across. Bum!
Oh well, here are a couple of pics I took from my living room window recently, on a day when the sun decided to shine for about the last hour of daylight. Here's hoping I can get out and about and bring you new pics soon...

BBC Weather comes from the Met Office, and they're generally reckoned to be the best!
Rain,what rain?There's a drought isn't there.Ha Ha!!!
I think the weather forecast gets corrupted somewhere between the Met Office and the BBC Weather studio. God, if they're the best, I dread to think what the worse is like. Mind you, ITV Teletext weather is just as off-target much of the time. Maybe I just expect too much.
As for the drought, my poor garden is baked dry, my lawn is just a patch of yellow straw and hard-baked earth, and - oh, who am I kidding? Flipping garden's like a duck pond, minus the ducks, unless sparrows count ...
I take exception to that comment about Wet Wet Wet: My girlfriend back in the 90s was a big fan of them. I must confess, I was quite partial to one or two of their songs, too; but then I am a bit of a saddo, so maybe you`re right. "Sweet little mystery......"
I can't talk, really - despite most of my music collection being in the metal, indie or Goth genres, I also have numerous camp-and-cheesy Dead or Alive videos on my hard drive. By Dead or Alive, I mean Pete Burns's band, not an allusion to some infernal song by the singing chest-wig himself, Jon Bon Jovi. But I make no apologies for the Dead or Alive stuff, however out of place it seems amongst the rest of my stuff, because it's good, fluffy fun. I just loathed Wet Wet Wet, though - their singer really got up my nose, for some reason. Then again, I was into Axl Rose at the time, so my judgement can hardly be classed as sound.
