I came across this tortoiseshell butterfly sunning itself on a stone near the bus stop at Rhossili, on the Gower Peninsula. Unfortunately, I only had a basic point-and-shoot camera at the time, so was unable to do this beautiful creature justice. You can see my other Camera Critters entry here.
