I've decided to make a few changes on the blog front. I'm forever starting new blogs, and then totally losing interest in them. So, I've deleted a couple, and have also earmarked another couple for deletion. I've also started a new one, thanks to a suggestion made by Chris Elphick. A Picture of Gower will no longer be updated. Instead, I have imported all posts and comments for that blog into the new blog. I will also be importing all Gower-themed posts from this blog, as well as the Swansea History blog. That way, I can keep this blog more a personal thing, and have a separate Gower blog.
The Gower blog won't just be about my own visits. I'll be frank - I hope to generate a little bit of income from it, via Google Ads. But I also want it to be a valuable resource to anyone wanting to visit Gower. In some ways, it'll have a little bit of crossover with Chris's excellent Welcome to Gower, as it'll include some local history, myths and legends, details on Gower attractions and facilities, etc. But it will very much have my own stamp on it.
The design of the new site is very simple and low key - and that's the way I intend to keep it. I now have to do a little work on it, adding links, labels, etc. Hopefully, it'll build some pagerank, as there will be no paid posts, etc, on it, just Google, and possibly a Gower-themed Amazon shop. Anyway, check it out if you have a moment, and see what you think. It's nothing fancy - it's a niche blog, which I hope is easy on the eye, and will be easy to navigate, once I've worked on it a little. Many thanks to Chris for inspiring this project.
