My laptop is still acting up, with the power cutting out, etc. For some reason, my broadband connection doesn't work if I'm on battery power, so my online time is being severely interrupted by this problem. It's intermittent, and will often settle down for a couple of hours at a time. But when it starts, it's really hard to get the laptop to connect to the mains power again. I get very frustrated spending fifteen minutes at a time waggling a cable around. Grr! It's bound to totally fail at some point, so if I disappear from Blogland, you'll know why.
I've been quoted a minimum of £100 (around $200 in US pennies) to repair it. That may not sound like much, but it's money I need for other things, so I'm reluctant to spend it on a laptop that's bound to develop yet another fault soon. My old desktop is a vile, hateful, slow, temperamental and ancient machine that belongs on a scrap heap somewhere. So I can't decide whether to repair the laptop, or save for a new desktop. Either way, I may be without a computer for a while. I'm writing this offline in Windows Live Writer, and now have the lovely task of holding in the power cable, whilst I try to connect to the Internet to post it. Ugh!

My pc is acting up, too... it is indeed very frustrating. Good luck with yours!
My internet connection has gone crazy last week :(, good thing it's now back to normal.
