Sneaky snow

I've been sitting here all evening, wondering why my neighbourhood is so uncharacteristically quiet. Usually, there are cars up and down the street, taxis tooting their horns, motorbikes whizzing past, and all other sorts of vehicular disturbance. I just let the dog out into the garden for a pee, and discovered the reason. There's a blanket of snow on the ground outside, and it's still falling quite heavily.

I headed out late this afternoon, to pick up a prescription, and to buy a few extra groceries. There was snow falling then, but very lightly. None of was sticking. On the way home, the snow had stopped, and the sky seemed to be clearing. That was around four hours ago. I assumed it was all over. Now, it seems I'm snowed in, and won't be able to leave my hillside perch until the snow thaws. I HATE snow. Heaven knows how I'm supposed to walk the dog tomorrow, as I don't have skis.

On the subject of the dog, he's huddled up next to me on the couch, and keeps licking my arm as I'm typing. He really is a soppy little bundle of fur.

Singleton Park looked lovely in the snow just before dark this evening. Hopefully, I`ll be able to get out and take a few pics tomorrow before it all melts. I absolutely love snow, myself!
