Thank you

Many thanks to those of you who left me kind words regarding poor Alfie's passing. I didn't have him very long, but I certainly miss him, and our daily walks. I feel very much at a loose end at the moment, so I'm contemplating getting a puppy, probably sometime after Christmas.

I bet you do miss him, we do get attached to our pets very quickly.

But yes, the best thing to do is look forward and think about giving a home to another little doggy!

As I said before, puppies are hard work. But you had the work of settling Alfie, so it wouldn't be anything different. After Christmas there are usually plenty of animals available for adoption, so good luck if you decide to go for that option.

I hope you will eventually get another dog. Any dog would be lucky to have a home with you.

Siani, Liz just asked me to try to post this comment for her, so here goes!

Dear Siani,

Oh I am sorry to hear about poor Alfie! But it sounds like you made the right though difficult decision. He was very fortunate to be able to enjoy his final months with you. Ah bless him. It must have been so painful for him - and you - in the end.
A puppy will be a whole different experience! And wise to leave it until after Christmas!

Both this time and the last time I tried to leave a comment on your blog, the word verifier came up black so I couldn't enter it. Hence the email!

Hope you're okay.

Have you seen Blue's posts at My True Colours, Siani?
The terriers she follows are scrumptious - but I suspect they are expensive. I always wanted one when I wa a child but other vetoed anything with hair.
