Obama victory marks the end of Bushisms

Bye bye, Bush - and good effing riddance! Will Obama be any better? I doubt he could be worse! I have a much better feeling about Obama than I did about Bush. My heart sank when Bush was elected. I instinctively knew he was bad news.

That said, I'll miss Bush's mangling of the English language, and his many idiotic statements. Did you know, for example, that Bush killed off poor old Nelson Mandela last year?

"I heard somebody say, 'Where's (Nelson) Mandela?' Well, Mandela's dead. Because Saddam killed all the Mandelas."

And who could forget Bush's "eck-a-lec-tic reading list"?

Then there was the time Bush was caught using the S-word in an unguarded moment.

Or how about this insightful quote about history?

"You never know what your history is going to be like until long after you're gone."

And who could forget his peculiar sleeping habits?

"I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep on the soil of a friend."

Not to mention his philanthropy:

"I'm going to spend a lot of time on Social Security. I enjoy it. I enjoy taking on the issue. I guess, it's the Mother in me."

Thank goodness America has elected a president who can string a coherent sentence together this time. It's just such a shame that Martin Luther King was robbed of his chance to hail the election of America's first black president, Barack Obama. Now, if only Obama had been a woman - his election would have been a double whammy for the history books. I'm never satisfied, am I :)? That said, there's something very satisfying about imagining the keening and wailing of KKK members, waking up to the news that they have a black president-elect. What better way to send a message to racists that they're full of sh*t? Congratulations, Mr. Obama, and well done America!

I am pleased but I do hope Congress keeps some control regarding his daft CO2 ideas for taxation.

I hope he lives up to his promise (or at least some of his promise). I'm glad to see the back of Bush too
