I'm ashamed to say I've only participated once in Monochrome Monday, hosted by Aileni. Time to put that right!
I took this shot on Halloween 2007, at Coity Castle, near Bridgend. A huge flock of crows converged on the castle keep, and I was so spooked, given the date, that I almost forgot to get the camera out. I managed to capture the last few stragglers as they fluttered around. The original image was very nearly monochrome, as it was such a gloomy afternoon. But it had a few flecks of blue, so I cheated a little, and used software to greyscale it.

I believe I remember the image from last year - it is perfect for Mono treatment.
What a great photo! The birds really add to the eeriness.
Yes, that's worked really well. I remember it from last year, too, and I loved it's eeriness then as well.
