My birthday treat

It's my birthday tomorrow, and I'll be 21 again. And I don't look a day over 80!

I've got nothing major planned, because the weather is so vile and unpredictable. I'm not a pub person, so I won't be wasting my time getting sloshed, like most people I know do on their birthdays. I thought I'd buy myself a run-around ticket for the bus, and just go wherever the whim takes me - as long as no journey takes longer than half an hour. The joys of suffering from travel sickness, eh?

Weather permitting, I'm going to the animal shelter, to visit the little dog I mentioned in a previous post. I'd like to meet him, to help me make my mind up about whether to adopt him or not. Then, there's the hurdle of getting my landlord, Swansea Housing Association, to grant me permission to keep him. The only reason they'd be likely to refuse, is if the lady downstairs objected. As she loves dogs, I doubt she will.

So, would you adopt a little fellow with a face like this?

Would his age (between 10-12) matter to you? I think he'd make a better pet than a boisterous, shoe-munching puppy. Decisions, decisions ...

Have a good day tomorrow Siani - enjoy your repeat 21st!

I hope you get to see that sweet dog. He is rather old, so he won't have many years left to him, but he won't chew up your slippers. He's likely to be very loving.

Good luck!

Cute little doggy, I can't decide whether to get a cat or not so I know it can be difficult to make such commitments!

Hope you have a very happy and wonderful birthday tomorrow! :)

Oh he looks in need of care and love!

Have a wonderful birthday tomorrow! If you're in Mumbles call into Red Cafe (near the Antelope). I'm working there tomorrow and I'll make you a nice cup of tea/coffee on the house (fairtraded of course).

Happy almost birthday!

He looks like a cute puppy...and at 10 or 12, he really could give you quite a few years of enjoyment still...some pups live to be nearly 20!
