Anthony Minghella dies

I've just heard that Academy Award-winning film director, playwright and screenwriter, Anthony Minghella, has died at the age of 54. I can't find any information about it online, but the BBC News 24 channel has just announced his death, after a statement from his agent. He directed one of my all-time favourite films, The Talented Mr. Ripley, starring one of my favourite actors, Jude Law. It's a sad loss for the film industry, especially the UK film industry. His other credits include Breaking And Entering, Cold Mountain, The English Patient, and Truly, Madly, Deeply, as well as several UK TV shows. Minghella was a rare talent, who will be greatly missed.
