I had no problems coming up with an idea for this week's
PhotoHunt. I have the perfect subject sitting in one of my kitchen cupboards - perfect for PhotoHunt, that is. I bought this box of Cappuccino Skinny as I was surprised to find that my usual instant cappuccino contains 3.8 grams of fat per sachet - including a large percentage of hydrogenated, artery-clogging fat. This troubled me, so I decided to try the Skinny version, from the same range. It only has 0.9 grams of fat per sachet, so it made sense to switch to a healthier version.
Unfortunately, I didn't like the Skinny version much, and the box is still sitting in my cupboard. Maybe if I'd tried it first, I'd have been happy with it. But compared to my usual instant cappuccino, the coffee itself had a weak taste, and the foam on top collapsed very quickly. So despite all my best efforts, I'm back to my favourite, un-Skinny version. One day, I'll buy an espresso/cappuccino machine. Until then, I'll stick with instant cappuccino, to which I add about three quarters of a teaspoon of pure instant Arabica coffee granules. Delicious! It tastes just like the real thing.
Oh well, that's my PhotoHunt for this week. Not very exciting, I know. But at least it fits the theme. Have a lovely weekend!

That's a good take on the theme. I'm sure I should try the skinny versions of drinks but I usually don't. Maybe that's part of why I'm not skinny any more. Oh well. Hope you have a good weekend.

I only know what's a skinny cappuccino when I did my Skinny post yesterday. I don't drink coffee.

I have never been a coffee drinker, although I had tried it every way imaginable but just doesn't excite me. I can't believe they came out with one named "skinny",... lol. Great job and have a good weekend.

Great choice! Now that I think about it, there is a range of ice-creams called Skinny Cow, which tast quite good. I could have bought some of those ....
I don't think they make a real effort to make low fat version as flavoursome as they should.

I wonder if that skinny cappuccino is available here. I'm also a heavy coffee drinker and I try on different instant coffee. Can't live without it...
Too bad you didn't enjoy the skinny version. Our humans aren't big coffee drinkers. Our mom hates the stuff, and our dad only has one cup of coffee in the morning at work.
The skinny versions are never any good!
