PhotoHunt: Long

This week's theme is Long. I'm late with this week's entry, as I couldn't immediately think of any appropriate pics for it, and the weather's been too foul for me to go out and take any new pics. So I searched old image files and came up with the following. They were all taken on different days, at one of my favourite places, Rhossili, near my home in Wales.

This first pic shows the long fence along the cliff top. Along with a wooden gate, it prevents sheep wandering from the cliffs into the village. This shot was taken with my current camera.

The next two pics were taken a few years ago, with my old camera. It only has a resolution of 2.2 MP, so the pics aren't very good, unfortunately. However, the old camera did manage to capture a fairly good representation of the four mile long beach at Rhossili, as well as the long path snaking along above the beach. You'll probably need to enlarge the pic to get a good view of the path.

The next pic shows the long, narrow island of Worm's Head, as well as the long causeway that joins the island to the mainland at low tide. Always be careful to check tide times before crossing the causeway to the island, because you could get stranded there, or worse still, overwhelmed by the tide when you're crossing back.

Oh well, those are my long pics. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Those are all great shots for the long theme. I think you got good shots with your old camera. The fence is very appealing to me as are the one of the beach path and the island shot. Have a great weekend.

Nice shots Siani. Liz at Finding Life Hard had a photo of Rhossili Beach too for this wek's hunt too!

THe Day after getting caught on the Mumbles on my school Zoology field trip we nearly got caught on Worm's Head. We could have lynched our teacher!

Without knowing where the pictures were taken I thought it looks like a coast in the UK and I was right, lol ! I have spent twice a week with my friends at the south east coast of England and it looks very similar there. I love it !

Those are beautiful photos. It's because of scenes like this that Wales is rapidly moving to the top of my "places I really, really, really want to visit" list.
