I have just read something very distressing and sickening. A nine year old girl from Shrewsbury, a town I recently visited, has received death threats on her blog. This little girl, Sophie Foxley, is suffering from leukaemia. What the hell is wrong with this world? To threaten a child, any child, is reprehensible. But to threaten an especially vulnerable little girl is twisted beyond belief. I'm horrified and aghast. I simply cannot comprehend what motivates a person to do something so utterly abysmal and evil. You can read more about the threats against little Sophie here.
If you can, please take the time to visit Sophie's Diary, and leave her a nice message. She's had a very bad week this week, as her leukaemia treatment has left her quite poorly. Although her parents have protected her from learning the nature of the evil messages left on her blog, she is aware that something is awry. So if you can, please show her a little bit of support. There are some totally sick and evil people in this world. How anyone can do that to such a brave and bright-looking child is beyond my understanding. Thank you for passing this on, as I now feel honoured to have met Sophie.
That sounds awful! I'd like to spread the word about sophie on my blog as well...
What twisted little scumbags. Words fail me Siani. well plenty of words spring to mind, all of them expletives.
