PhotoHunt: Curvy

Although I struggled with last week's theme, this week's presented me with no such problems. I live in a coastal city, on the edge of a gorgeous coastal peninsula. So that means lots of curvy bays and coves. I've decided to focus on just one of these bays, the spectacular Rhossili Bay. For my overseas visitors, Rhossili can be found on the Gower Peninsula near Swansea, in south-west Wales.

Here's a winter shot of my favourite curvy bay, with the curvy-topped Rhossili Down towering above it. Why it's called a down, when it goes up in the air, I really don't know.

Here's someone piloting a curvy paraglider thingy over my favourite curvy bay.

Here are some curvy fungi I found on the cliffs at Rhossili. I've no idea what sort they are!

On another day, at the end of summer, I came across these curvy hay bales, lying in a field that had been mown in a curvy pattern.

A little further along the coastline, I took this shot, of the tidal island of Worm's Head, curving into the distance. Low tide exposes a causeway, which visitors can walk across, to reach the island. But care must be taken, as the causeway is only open for around two hours either side of low tide, and visitors have frequently been stranded on the Worm.

Heading East from the Worm, probably about a mile from Rhossili, lies this curvy little cove, known as Fall Bay. It may not be as spectacular as the broad, four-mile sweep of Rhossili, but it has a charm all of its own.

This last curvy image completes my PhotoHunt for this week. Happy hunting!

You appear to live in a beautifully curvy part of the world. The first time I saw round hay bales I was thoroughly amazed. Can yo actually call them bales? I have since seen hay in a variety of forms, so I am not so stuck in a "hay" image rut.
