Scientists now believe the ancient skeleton discovered in Paviland Cave on the Gower Peninsula, may be 4,000 years older than previously thought. This means that Paviland's famous "Red Lady" (who was actually a young man), lived on Gower some 29,000 years ago. Read the full story here.

Thanks for this news, Sian - I could well have missed it.
I used to tour the caves of Gower and managed every one on the south coast.
I also had the original guides by Rutter - wish I had kept them now for the interest.
