I've been thinking about doing NaNoWrimo for the last three or four years, but never got around to it. After hearing that fellow Swansea blogger, Chris, is planning on giving it a go, I think I'll have a bash, too.
NaNoWrimo is just for fun, but I think it has a serious purpose too - it helps instill discipline, and forces you to write at least 2,000 words per day during the month of November. I think you can plot your novel in advance, but you mustn't start writing it until November 1st. I have a germ of an idea. It's nothing very serious. After all, no-one expects a NaNoWrimo novel to be good. I've set up a separate blog in readiness for it, called SiaNoWrimo, and will post all chapters and musings on chapters to it, starting in November. Now all I need to do is to remember to sign up in October.

Good luck with the treadmill. 2thou a day is hard - I've done it but not for thirtyone consecutive days. There are those days when five hundred is a triumph.
I look forward to seeing the result, it most certainly requires discipline.
Aileni.
Thanks, Aileni. I'm already wondering if I have the discipline and stamina.
