Swansea-Cork ferry suspended until 2008

There will be no Swansea to Cork ferry service for the whole of 2007. The reason given is utterly preposterous. Bummer! Have never been to Ireland, and was hoping to go this summer.

Are they joking Siani? They seriously could not lease a ferry from someone?

Alas, it's true. Several local government departments are trying to see if they can help get the service up and running again for this year, but it doesn't look hopeful. It's a total farce. Tourism will be hit badly at either end of the route.
