A few free moments

I've not had much time for blogging since my cousin, Wayne, moved in. Not quite sure why, as he's out at work most days. Apparently, some busybody neighbours think he's my fancy man. I'm glad they've got nothing better to do with their lives than add two and two together to make 105.

Someone called the traffic wardens out to Wayne's car, a couple of days after he arrived. Alas for them - and I know damn well who they are - I got a residents' parking permit even before Wayne arrived. I guess the next people to be called will be the Department of Work and Pensions, the Housing Benefit section of the local council, and the housing association. Well tough luck - I've also taken care of all of that, and they all know I have a non-dependent relative living under my roof. Why are some people so bloody nosey? And why do they always assume the worst about others?

That gripe aside, Wayne has a couple of days off work. We went down to the Civic Centre to sort a couple of things out, and parked in the public car park there. We then took a walk around the Marina with Jake, before enjoying a coffee outside the museum.

Jake travelled well in the car. I bought him a seat belt clip to keep him safe in the car. Basically, one end attaches to his harness, and the other fits into a seat belt slot. It extends enough to allow him to get up to look out through the back window, and to lie down comfortably, but it stops him bouncing around, making a pest of himself and possibly getting hurt. Off to get Jake groomed tomorrow, as it's hard to tell which end of him is which at the moment, and when I do locate his face - he looks more like an Ewok than a dog.

Oh well, that's all for now. Sorry it's not very exciting.

You have everything well covered.
I remember the snoopers well - I can't speak for the big towns here but we don't seem to suffer them.

I bought one of those harnesses but haven't plucked up my courage to try and get George into it yet! Glad Jake coped well.
