Snowed in

Much of the UK is under a blanket of snow at the moment. Swansea is no exception. Absolutely nothing is moving on the roads, and all local bus services have been suspended. Although the sun is out at the moment, it's bitterly cold, and quite windy. If it starts snowing again, it could lead to blizzard conditions. Ugh.

I've just tried taking the dog for a walk. Jake loves the snow, and has been romping around in it in the back garden. Unfortunately for him, both my gardens are very steep. Whereas he's been running around like a little mountain goat, the paths and steps are too slippery for me. Although snow looks very pretty, when you live on a steep hill, it means you can't safely go anywhere whilst the stuff is on the ground. I just hope it goes soon. I have a very bored dog on my hands, who keeps hurling himself at me, trying to persuade me to wrestle with him.

Anyway, here are a couple of snowy shots I took before my camera's batteries died. Fingers crossed it starts to thaw soon.

It all looks very clean and beautiful in your photos, but snow can be difficult to live with - we're just not used to it in this part of the world! Maybe you need to get Jake an old-fashioned treadmill wheel to keep him exercised. If he runs fast enough he could provide you with electricity. ;)
